2019 chevy colorado temperature gauge not working

After 10-15 min drive it starts to slowly increase. Only went to 73 F looked at local temp on phone said 80 so off 7 degrees. Not sure if new sensor is faulty? Have other had issues or is there a calibration file update to make work better. When I replaced it used Ac delco part. Trk is 11 sierra 5.3 cc. Thanks in advance.
