Esp malfunction on mercedes

ESP light / Run Flat inoperative. My w204 is regularly showing ESP light followed by Run Flat inoperative... then goes into SAFE mode (min acceleration and max speed cannot exceed 90 KM). I have to stop, turn the engine off and then on... everything is back to normal !!! 1- If I press the brakes to the floor to stop.

The ESP is clearly still functioning and the car's performance seems to be unaffected. Not sure if it is a coincidence - but this message cropped-up within days of taking the car in to Mercedes for annual maintenance. Any thoughts on this issue?
