UVCH (under valve cover harness) most certainly could create these symptoms, do search for 50cent mod. Wire harness running over drivers side valve cover could be worn and created a short. After changing vehicle battery (2015 F150 - I kept the power live with jumpers to another battery and, yes, correct polarity) and resetting BMS afterward. Now when trying to start, the engine light appears - no other lights and engine does not turn. Checked fuses - all OK; and tested voltage - perfect ... , You can push it back in to re-engage it. Another check it to measure the 12 volts at that switch. Its only there briefly when turning the key on if the motor doesn't start (two man job, one to crank and one to watch the meter).
