If you wear the red heart, you get an exp bonus. If you max the red heart, you get the exp bonus forever as a set bonus. The set bonus overrides the equip bonus, and they do not stack, so you don't need to wear it anymore. Same with yellow heart and the AP bonus. The other hearts have set bonuses that don't match any of their equip bonuses.

If I'm able to beat basic in less than 24h I will perfectly be able to do so in 24h challenge. At least the first level of it. But I see people having problems with 24h challenge. Every 7 hours and 50 minutes you will earn a major quest, up to a maximum of 10. When you start a quest, you can choose between a minor quest or a major quest if one is available.
