Here are my notes from when I took ML4T in OMSCS during Spring 2020. Each document in "Lecture Notes" corresponds to a lesson in Udacity. Within each document, the headings correspond to the videos within that lesson. Usually, I omit any introductory or summary videos.

For ML, it’s a lot more open ended: you are writing code but the meat of the grade is in the reports you write. You’re not even tested on the code since they literally tell you you can steal it.

A specialization in OMSCS is a minimum of 5 course out of 10. You could actually take 5 from ML and 5 from Computing Systems. Even taking 1 each to start could work. I was originally going to do Computing Systems but switched to Computational Perception and Robotics after taking my first few classes.The average rating of ML in OMSCentral & OMSHub is spot on (Rating: ~3.1, Difficulty ~4.1). In other words, it's hard but not so good. The specialization requires Graduate Algorithms, Machine Learning, and 3 of the electives listed under the Machine Learning concentration. That makes 5. The remaining 5 can be any of the courses offered by the program, and they can be taken before after, during, and/or between the courses required by the concentration (no order is enforced).
