My drain carrier would eat a dreadnaught alive, watching it's petty cries for help as evening entertainment. It's sorta hard for someone to kill you in 2 seconds if they have no power. A general drain build wouldn't only drain shields. It'd also drain ship's power (using Tyken's Rift or other drain abilities).
