I think you would be OK with a light plow on the 4cyl with some ballast (200-300lbs) in the back of the truck. Go slow with plowing and you should be OK for home use. Anyway.... learned about the new Boss HTX-V plow made for half ton trucks (just came out in 2016). The plow weighs 490 lbs, 25" tall in the middle and 32" tall on the ends, and has pushplates for the Yota. Found one, mounted it, and I'm VERY impressed!
