Why is the winchester 9422 so expensive

LTC. 41 posts · Joined 2009. #9 · Jun 30, 2012. I don't own a Browning, but just recently purchased a 9422 XTR Classic. The Classic came with a pistol grip butt stock and steel cresent butt plate. Mine dates to about '85 or '86. This variation of the 9422 was only made for about 2 1/2 years or so.

With the Winchester is very simple, not so with the Browning. And lastly the Winchester has a much better trigger. Now Winchester discontinued the 9422 around 2005 as it was to expensive to manufacture. And now all the centerfire Winchesters are produced in Japan by who else, Miroku.
